“Spectacular! This is a dinner to die for!” – Deepa Mehta
Dinner by Starlight is Indian Summer’s annual fundraiser. Each year it takes place at a secret location, only announced to guests the week of the event, and features a special guest of honour.
For this year’s unforgettable evening, Canada’s culinary darling Vikram Vij prepares a special meal in honour of actor and designer Waris Ahluwalia who the New York Times describes as a ‘modern day Marco Polo’. Waris has been the face of Gap, worked with Wes Anderson, Spike Lee and Deepa Mehta, and is on the list of Vogue’s ‘10 Most Impactful People’.
For past ‘Dinner By Starlight’ events Vikram has created a ‘Nawabi’ banquet for Bollywood legend Sharmila Tagore, a BC-India fusion feast with fellow celebrity chef, Sanjeev Kapoor, and a ‘Dabba’ (tiffin box) meal in honour of the Dabbawalas of Mumbai.
Seats to this one-time only meal are limited and sell out quickly. Enjoy a gorgeous night out and support a great cause.
