Amarjeet Singh is the Director of the Naad Centre for Performing & Visual Arts. He received his Masters in Musicology specializing in Tabla, a South Asian membranophone percussion instrument, from the Gandharava College of Music New Delhi. Singh was taught by Ustad Thakur Kishan Singh ji and later Bhai Baleep Singh and Capt. Gunwant Singh and was awarded the “Sangeet Bhushan (music jewel)” award from the Education Department of Rajasthan. He was the Scholarship winner from “Music and Drama Academy of Rajasthan”.
Singh was nominated as the Cultural Ambassador by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) to teach and perform Tabla in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Russia. He has taught at the Music and Fine Arts University of Delhi, India. Furthermore, he has performed and accompanied renowned international artists all over the world in Music and Dance festivals in Uzbekistan, Germany, USA and Canada.
