Laura June Albert is an organizer, producer, and educator; three seemingly disparate practices collectively rooted in her process-driven community development methodology. She has been coordinating and designing events in the arts and social justice sectors since 2007. Her work is driven by questions about representation, access, and inclusion in the arts, and the role of the artist in society.
Laura June completed her MA in Contemporary Arts Studies at SFU in 2018, where she researched and wrote about whiteness in contemporary dance. When not designing programming at Indian Summer Festival, Laura June teaches body positive dance classes in Vancouver.
