Events at this venue:
Many people are negatively impacted from exposure to scents. Please refrain from wearing scented products while attending Indian Summer Festival events.
Mobility Access: The Chan Centre is wheelchair and scooter accessible, including washrooms, ramps and elevators, and wide entrances and exits. When approaching the Chan Centre entrance from the top of the stairwell off of Main Mall, there is an elevator located near the flag pole plaza; south-west of the main doors to the Chan Centre.
All of the seating in the orchestra (main) level of the Chan Shun Concert Hall can be accessed without the use of stairs. The Parterre seating that surrounds the main floor can be accessed with minimal use of stairs. Please note that only the audience left side of the dress and upper levels of the concert hall (including odd-numbered boxes) are accessible by elevator. Note: Audience left is defined as the perspective of the audience member, when sitting in their seat, while looking at the stage.
Seats designated specifically as accessible (Box 5, Box 15, and Row A and B in the orchestra) can only be purchased by calling the Ticket Office. Phone fees are waived for this scenario. Please call the Chan Centre box office to reserve accessible seats at 604-822-2697.
Parking: The Rose Garden Parkade has quickest and easiest parking access to the Chan Centre. There are a number of accessible parking stalls on level 5 (payment machines are located on level 3 and 5 of the parkade), and an elevator inside the Parkade.
Transit: Plan your trip. Address: 6265 Crescent Rd Vancouver
Bathrooms: There are a mix of single stalled and multi-stalled bathrooms. All washrooms are accessible for wheelchairs and scooters.
Low Vision: This is low vision friendly programming. The programming itself is auditory. We offer one complimentary companion ticket for those who require assistance in order to attend. Please call the Chan Centre box office to book: 604-822-2697
Seating Plan: The Chan Centre has cushioned, theatre style seats. There are 8 wheelchair assigned seats on the lower level (close to the front) and an additional 4 wheelchair assigned seats in the balcony. Please call the Chan Centre box office to book accessible seats: 604-822-2697
Priority seating and early entry is available for this event for people with invisible disability, low vision, or chronic pain. We can arrange this onsite, or contact us to plan in advance.
Scent: Both Indian Summer Festival and the Chan Centre have communication policies in place requesting that attendees refrain from wearing scented products at all events, but this policy is not enforced at the door. This event is not guaranteed to be a scent-free space.
