Venue and Event Accessibility Information:

ASL: There is ASL available for all shows at this venue upon request – please email engage@indiansummerfest.ca to request ASL before Friday June 22d.

Complimentary Companion Ticketing: We offer one complimentary companion ticket for those who require mobility assistance in order to attend. When purchasing tickets, please continue to “checkout” where you may select a complimentary companion.

Mobility Access: The Granville Street entrance has many stairs – the 601 Smithe Street entrance is wheelchair and scooter accessible. Once inside, there are elevators to each floor, including to the reception areas. Wheelchair accessible seating is available on the orchestra and dress circle levels. When purchasing tickets please choose the “wheelchair seating” option for the person(s) using a wheelchair or scooter as well as up to one companion, who will be provided with a chair next to you.

Early entry is available for this event.

All washrooms are accessible for wheelchairs and scooters.

Parking: There is no designated wheelchair accessible parking at this venue, only street and lot parking around the neighbourhood. The nearest parking lot can be accessed when driving southbound on Richards (which is a one way street), on the right hand side after Robson street. From there the entrance to the Orpheum is half a block away.

Low Vision: This is low vision friendly programming. The programming itself is auditory. Binoculars are available at the main lobby coat check. We offer one complimentary companion ticket for those who require assistance in order to attend. Early entry is available for this events.

Hearing Assist: Hearing-assist units are available at the main lobby coat check.

Bathrooms: The multi-stall bathrooms will be gendered and trans-inclusive. There is one single stall gender neutral bathroom on the main floor. All washrooms are accessible for wheelchairs and scooters.

Seats: Individual theatre style cushioned chairs, with arms. When purchasing tickets please continue to “checkout” where you may select if you require wheelchair seating as well as up to one companion, who will be provided with a chair next to you.

Scent: While Indian Summer Festival emails all ticket holders requesting that attendees refrain from wearing scented products at all of our events, we do not enforce this policy, nor does this venue have permanent scent-free policies in place.
